Ocean beach hotels offer you the chance to stay in a small, southern California beach community, not unlike most of soCal was during the 1960's. With locally-owned restaurants (Hodad's is a fav of ours, 5010 Newport ave), rooftop bars and great surfing (see the image above of Big Wednesday), OB is it is known locally is for those of us looking to find some mellowness in life, a place where BMW's do not exist and that watching another perfect sunset is the best way to end another day here in paradise.
