Staying at a Mission valley hotel offers you the chance to be in the center of all that San Diego is. Mission valley is home to 2 large shopping malls, Qualcomm stadium (home to the San Diego Chargers), plenty of restaurants, bars and 5 major freeways. This freeway access gives you the opportunity to zip on over to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Old Town state park or the beaches in relative ease. If you choose not to have a car while you are here, the red San Diego trolley runs up the center of the valley and offers riders a quick trip to downtown's excitement, the Gaslamp's dining, a ball game or a quick run over to SDSU.

With the easy hotel access here, Mission valley is one of the more popular locations for many who choose San Diego as a weekend or week long destination. Relatively inexpensive as compared to some of the other areas in town, Mission Valley offers you a chance to see San Diego form a great, central location. just hop on the 163 freeway south and within 5 minutes (with traffic) you will be on the edge of downtown and the historic Gaslamp quarter. 5 or so minutes to the west and Ocean beach and Mission bay are within reach. Shopping, dining and fun in the sun are at your doorstep, so you should consider a Mission valley hotel the next time you are looking for hotels here in San Diego. On busy weekend this may be your best bet in finding a hotel close to the beach.
